Admission Criteria:
Admission to Undergraduate Engineering Course (B.E.) at Maratha Mandal’s Engineering College, Belagavi can be taken under Management Quota and through KEA.
Management Quota ( Direct Admission):
The candidate satisfies the eligible condition can opt any of the course under management quota directly.
K.E.A / Govt. Quota:
The candidate must obtain the Rank through common entrance examination conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (K.E.A).
Participate in the counselling process and obtain the seat.
Educational Qualifications (Academic Eligibility)
Regardless of the entrance exam, candidates must meet these basic academic standards:
- Qualifying Exam: You must have passed the 2nd PUC / 12th Standard an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- Compulsory Subjects: Physics and Mathematics are mandatory.
- Optional Subjects: You must have studied at least one of these: Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology, Electronics, or Computer Science.
- Minimum Marks:
- General Merit (GM): Minimum 45% aggregate in the optional subjects.
- Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC): Minimum 40% aggregate (this relaxation usually applies only to Karnataka domicile candidates).
- Language: English must be one of the subjects of study.
Admission Process
For Management Quota:
- The candidate seeking admission personally visit the college, Fill the enquiry form.
- Looking at the form and availability of seats for particular course under Management quota Principal will send candidate to admission head for document verification.
- Once documents and eligibility criteria satisfies as per requirements, The admission head will ask Admission team member to issue college admission form.
- Candidate will pay the prescribed fee of college and submit all the required original and photocopies of documents and collect the acknowledgement from account section.
- If needed, a qualifying test will be conducted.
For Government Quota through KEA:
- Registration: Apply online at the official portals (cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea).
- Entrance Test: Appear for the exam
- Document Verification: For KCET, this is a critical step where you must prove your domicile and category claims with certificates countersigned by the BEO/DDPU.
- Counselling (Option Entry): Rank holders choose branches online.
- Seat Allotment: Based on rank, category, and availability, seats are allotted in multiple rounds.
